we don't need anyone

US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has suggested that America would be prepared to take military action against Iraq - with or without Britain.
So long as Iraq does not chicken out, we are ok.

CPI - armchair lawyers

The morons at the Communist Party of India are now layers advising the High Court. Regarding the court order to conduct excavations in Ayodhya, this is what they had to say
"The right course would be for the High Court to give its verdict on the title deed suit without straying into matters which are outside the bounds of the judicial process," the CPI-M Polit Bureau said in a statement here.
So since in 1991 Saddam occupied Kuwait, it was wrong for the world to have liberated it. We should have gone by the title deed of Kuwait then. The morons are not only lawyers, but also archeologists now
"It will not be possible for the ASI to excavate and come to any conclusion relevant to the title deed suit. Neither will it be possible to ascertain whether there was originally a Ram temple in the area, which has seen hundreds of temples being constructed over the centuries," it said.
I wonder why such intelligent people are not voted into power by the people of India. TR Jawahar writes:
The journalistic judges, the wise men of the secular media, obviously deem themselves superior to the judicial judges. Otherwise, how else could one describe their temerity in pre-empting a pending judgement in the Allahabad High Court that has ordered an excavation at Ayodhya? These super judges, editorial eminences, now claim that even if the excavation reveals the existence of an ancient temple, it would amount to nothing vis-a-vis the case! This is their desperate refrain day in day out, not only in the opinion, or rather opinionated sections, but also in the news pages of their dailies. The chorus has reached a crescendo with all the usual suspects JNU historians, Commies, NGOs and of course, the super secular Bukharis, Bannatwallas and sundry other wallas holding forth on how and why the judiciary has erred in ordering the excavation and as to the total irrelevance of a temple at the site. Their intellect had probably taken a brief adjournment because they seem to have missed the point that one of the issues framed inter alia in the title suit was whether an ancient temple really existed there as claimed by the Hindus. The court is perfectly at liberty to check this point of fact, and enjoys even more legal discretion to interpret this fact when it is established either way. But the mediamen would not countenance any of that because it is inconvenient to them and their sponsors.

how malaysia treats indians

The detainees recounted how police burst into their homes and herded them to a nearby police station, from where some were taken to jail "We were handcuffed and made to kneel or sit in the police station car park, some of us were slapped and kicked," said Nagaraju Cheekoti, another IT professional working for WWI Malaysia. Some said they were ordered to do sit-ups, while others said they were stripped to their underwear, slapped and kicked inside the station. Police confiscated their cellphones and refused to give them access to telephones.
This is how Indian IT Professionals are treated in Malaysia (a Muslim Nation: let me add the religion spin here like the secularists). Usually the Indian Govt. does not respond when its citizens are mistreated anywhere. This time it has been different. There has been considerable pressuure on them to investigate and apologize.

speaking sanskrit in india

The professor is one of the many residents in Ganoda village who are confident that they can carry on an entire conversation in Sanskrit without a problem. The grocery shop owner claims he can rattle off shlokas in Sanskrit while in the adjoining utensil store, the owner informs that he helps his children with their language homework.
When Israel became a nation, they revived their language Hebrew. When India became a nation, we killed Sanskrit.

Update: Ashwini says: This is not the first place to speak sanskrit in India. There is a small town near Shimoga in Karnataka where they use mainly Sanskrit in everyday speach. They also know Kannada :-D. This town has been speaking the language for many years now - everyone from the the shopkeepers to officials.

Daddy, why can't we go to Kashmir?

And the world seems to behave as if nothing has happened. 400,000+ people have been ethnically cleansed from their places of birth. 700,000+ people have been made homeless. A whole community has been forced to live like refugees in their own country. And when this community asks for its rightful rights, nobody cares. I guess, in the bigger scheme of things, 700,000 people in a world population of more than 6 billion people does not deserve enough attention.
The reason why this incident is not mentioned anywhere is because these refugees are Hindus who have been ethnically cleansed by Pakistani Islamic Terrorists. When about 1000 muslims were butchered in Gujarat the so called secularists and communists in India went around the world creating an impression as if India kills minorities. When it comes to the issue of Kashmiri Hindus, none of these secularists have anything to say.

Update: For the bleeding hearts of the world!

Kalidasa And Ancient India

If you have gone to sleep reading Indian history text books in school, then you should read the well researched article by b.s.v prasad at sulekha.
The purpose of this brief article is to establish the date of Kalidasa and to examine two of his works for interesting historical information. I also verified the information against traditional sources such as the Puranas, and drew several conclusions, which I hope the readers will find interesting and useful.

the work of anti-nationals fail
A year-long campaign by conservative Christian groups, secularists and Leftists in the US, many of them of Indian origin, to put India in the dock over last year’s Gujarat riots has flopped.
My reaction: Muaahahahahahahahaha. If there is a problem in India, then solve it there.

the first indian to convert to islam

From the Indian Archeology Mailing List
Cheraman Perumal, of Kodungallur, Kerala, was the first Indian to accept Islam. Many historians have recorded this fact in their writings. For example, M. Hamidulla writes in "Muhammad Rasoolullah" quoting some old manuscripts from India Office Library (ref no. Arabic, 2807, 152-173) "There is a very old tradition in Malabar, South-West Coast of India, that Chakrawati Farmas (perhaps another name for denoting Cheraman Perumal) one of their kings, had observed the splitting of the moon, the celebrated miracle of the Holy Prophet at Mecca, and learning on inquiry that there was a prediction of the coming of a Messenger of God from Arabia, he appointed his son as regent and set out to meet him. He embraced Islam at the hand of the Prophet, and when returning home, at the direction of the Prophet, died at the port of Zafar, Yemen, where the tomb of the "Indian king" was piously visited for many centuries."
